Elle Clibanarii {Ref. Sheet + Bio}

Elle Clibanarii is the daughter of Sunburst and Coloratura, an odd and unlikely pair to be sure- but they found their affection for one another flourished upon meeting one another in the Crystal Empire. Coloratura had been invited to perform at a Royal Gathering, and with Sunburst being designated Mentor/Royal Crystaller, to a young Flurry Heart- they met one another, (actually, Sunburst knocked himself and Rara over after stumbling over his own hooves...) They had something of an awkward start, what with Sunburst stumbling over his hooves and his words- Coloratura found his nervousness adorable, and took the lead in ensuring they would see more of eachother later on.

It took little time for the both of the to fall in love with one another, Sunburst proved very loyal and protective of Coloratura, and she loved him dearly. He loved her singing, and kindness- a contrast to the persona she had as a singer- and eventually Coloratura decided to settle a home in the Crystal Empire with Sunburst permanently. She took to taking few shows outside of the Crystal Empire, but became very popular there- Sunburst loved having her around and asked for her assistance from time to time in caring for Flurry Heart.

Elle came along early in their relationship, and both Sunburst and Coloratura love her to pieces.

Because of her father being stationed to care for and mentor Flurry Heart as Royal Crystaller, and her mother being sometimes away at shows and the like- Elle spent much of her childhood around the royal palace and in particular, with Flurry Heart. She grew to be very close with the Royal Famiy, and became best friends with that of Flurry Heart- even if the two of them have very different personalities between them.

Elle adopted a love for studying Magic from her father- though where his remained philosophical and scientific, when Elle was a filly, her interests quickly turned toward the Training Grounds where Prince Shinning Armor trained and worked with all the Royal Guards and Warriors of the Crystal Empire. Elle took to sneaking into the training sessions on many occasion, fascinated with the fighting and the weapons training to no end- Shinning Armor noticed her interest and offered to train her to be a soldier. Elle leapt at the chance, her Magic quickly turning into BattleMagic in the like as she spent years training to be a Gaurd, and mastered the art of being a BattleMage in near no time at all, and took special interest in wielding a Halberd. She's a force to be reckoned with, and earned respect of the other Soldiers very quickly- in her training she grew up to be the Commander and Leader of Flurry Heart's Honor Guard, and is at the record- the only fully trained BattleMage in the whole of the Crystal Empire, outside of Prince Shinning Armor himself.

It was her idea to serve as Flurry Heart's guard, and seeing as how both Shinning Armor and Cadence cared for Elle as a niece, they felt it a wonderful idea and let her do as she wished. Of course that means that Elle spends near every waking moment a Flurry's side in their adult years, and sometimes that wears on both their nerves- friends as they are, and having known eachother as long as they have- they have to different personalities, and while they mostly balance between eachother- there have been several fights and grievances over the years. Elle protects Flurry fiercely though, despite everything- and would be more than willing, and prepared to lay down her life for Flurry.

Elle is a very serious individual, and thinks critically and clearly of everything and every situation. She is levelheaded, and clever- and quite intelligent too. She's a wonderful tactician and is knowledgeable in the Arcane as her father is, but she has the Magical Skill that beats Sunburst's own, and even Shinning Armor's at some point. She's very good at leading other ponies and taking command (she'd been training all her life to do so), and she has the respect of the Royal House and Royal Guard. Shinning Armor has no qualm asking her to take charge of bands of soldiers in his stead, and in his later years lets her handle the rounds and assignments instead of doing them himself. She has his complete trust, and probably has a closer relationship with Elle than Sunburst or Coloratura have with her.

Elle can sing, though rarely does- much to her mother's (slight) disappointment.

Elle, being a serious sort of person, doesn't have much a sense of humor nor tolerance for an over-abundance of 'foolishness'. She's only fairly tolerant of people with more quirky, bubbly attitudes- but takes problem with those who don't seem to have a care in the world, nor idea of what consequences their actions have in the long run. This is apparent in her frustration with Flurry Heart- who is a very bubbly, easy going soul with a habit of making jokes and poking fun (even at the most inappropriate of times). It is Flurry Heart who took to calling Elle by the nickname of "Narii", and calls her that constantly- she doesn't think that Elle minds all that much either.

Flurry Heart is no politician, nor is she very good with handling delicate public relations. She has a kind, cheerful soul and is friendly with everyone she meets- but she lacks in the harsher side of life, and usually defaults to her parents for handling the harder things. Such as complaints, pain, danger- she's a flighty person and she acts like a child, even as she grows older. She seems to have no interest in actually ruling the Crystal Empire someday- and shirks lessons and duties in that category whenever she can. Elle hates this part of Flurry's behavior, and wishes that she would grow up a little- a common remark on that end, is though even Flurry is technically older than Elle- Elle is the more mature one of the both of them, and everyone knows it.

As Flurry gets older, and it grows closer to the possibility of Flurry one day ruling the Crystal Empire- Elle and Flurry's relationship becomes more and more strained, with Elle doing her best to get Flurry to mature and stop being a kid. They have a slew of fights here, and become a little distant with one another- which becomes worse as the Crystal Empire is attacked, and subsequently falls, when both she and Flurry come into adulthood.
 
"The Crystal Kingdom Falls" is a headcannon involving both Elle and Flurry's journey as they barely escape the destruction, and have to work their hardest to take their home back. They have little help from the other Royal figures, as all of Equestria is being consumed in war from an unknown enemy that came from nowhere- the Crystal Empire is the first to fall, and in the destruction- most of the Crystal Kingdom is killed/missing- including Prince Shinning Armor and Princess Cadence, as well as Elle's parents. Both Elle and Flurry find themselves running and on their own as icy weather takes hold of the Crystal Empire in consequence of the Castle being destroyed, along with the Crystal Heart.
