StormShadow is the "Storm Master" of PonyVille.

Weather Teams are all unique based on the town or city they are required to run for, but they all follow the same basic structure. Weather Manager, ThunderCloud Maintenance, Rain Leaders, Snow Herder, Wind Team, etc. But only the town with the most ground and higher populations are ever permitted to award a pony a position such as "Storm Master". These skilled ponies oversee the heaviest storms that Equestria ever knows, all while holding a sort of uncanny ability to work such dangerous weather conditions and keep them in check, they are able to move and organize large and dangerous thunderclouds known as "Thunderheads" and are able to safely manipulate lightning storms and gales, with more accuracy and professionalism than your average Weather Pony.

The only "Storm Master" known to the whole of Equestria is the Alicorn mare who is tucked away in her castle that serves as a hub for weather creation high above CloudsDale, where she may over see and send orders to the rest of the Holds, being the 'Princess of Elemental Conditions'...... Best known as the Weather Master and Creator.

StormShadow lives in the mass of independent, dark storm clouds that hover over the EverFree forest, and is working with an organization known as H.O.O.F. (Hidden Operations Organization for Freedom) under the direction of Princess Celestia, and Luna when she returns. The point of this organization, Is to neutralize any and all threats before they are ever made public, to prevent catastrophe, collect information, plan safe-fails, keep everypony safe. The number one rule: Don't let yourself be known, always work in the shadows, to keep the light free and perfect as you can. Keep the dark at bay, keep Equestria safe, but always remain hidden in plain sight.

H.O.O.F. has ponies working for it all over Equestria, they're your neighbors, your friends. They live around you, always keeping evil at bay without ever letting it see the light. We have headquarters in nearly every city, town and village- and where we don't we at least have a central operative who keeps tabs of every member of H.O.O.F. in the area, and periodically sends reports back to our proprietor and benefactor- the pony responsible for creating H.O.O.F. in the first place.

It was Princess Celestia, not long after the banishment of Princess Luna, who created H.O.O.F. Ponies were afraid of the massive amount of power that the Princesses possessed, and how that power could be used to do evil as it had when Nightmare Moon rebelled. Once the threat was past, ponies weren't in the mood to trust the Royalty nor trust the security of the Land into the hooves of any force connected with the Princess in any way.

But Princess Celestia knew that security needed to be kept, her subjects needed to be protected. If the ponies of Equestria didn't trust the Royal Guards to do the work, she left her subjects to hold order in their own cities and towns- but created HOOF so she could keep an eye on her little ponies, and ensure their safety from behind the lines.

H.O.O.F. is basically that, their operatives are all over, many are experts in some field or other... There a certain jobs for ponies whose main job are to collect and record information, sending everything they learn to Princess Celestia, and now Princess Luna since her return. Some of them are even under control and order of Princess Cadence in the Crystal Empire- though very few. Others specialize in stealth missions, others are trained to fight and defend... It all varies. Most operatives are standard, some are the Region Controllers (Those agents who organize and send out orders for all operatives in a specific region or town, they are a town's Commander in a way), others are Information Lei-ways, Recorders, and some are Guardians, all of H.O.O.F.'s members are good at what they do, but some of them are Legends, the best of the best, the true pros- and they're all spread about Equestria.

Her duties in PonyVille is what H.O.O.F. considers as the role of 'Guardian'. StormShadow is skilled in hoof to hoof combat and is quite efficient with weapons if need be, she stands as one of the foremost protectors of ponies in the region she lives should danger arrive. Although, her role of 'Guardian' reaches over the region, it is more specialized to keeping special eye on one pony in particular who is of importance to the Princess of Weather- Flash. StormShadow keeps Flash close to her so she may keep her safe should harm come rearing it's head, and to do this StormShadow took Flash on as her apprentice Storm Master, when Flash came to PonyVille looking for a job as a Weather Pony.

Flash and StormShadow get along rather swimmingly, and become pretty good friends once Flash starts working under her. StormShadow is well versed in most things regarding 'Pegasi Magic', which is something called Elemental Flight (The Magic that casts out behind certain Pegasi when they fly, and varies in form. For Example: Lightning Dust's trail of lightning and gold dust behind her, SpitFire's trail of Fire, Rainbow Dash's Rainbow- etc. It is a skill few have and is only ever possessed by the most superb fliers throughout time- and the fastest.) Flash is in possession of such a skill- with her innate 'Magic' establishing itself in the form of Lightning, when she reaches top speed. Her variation of Elemental Flight is much more powerful than most other Pegasi who have the same ability- which in part is owed to the Magical Talent she holds, having been born from a unicorn mother, and representing an Element of Peace/War- a group to which StormShadow is also a member of.

Due to past work in the Princess of Weather's high Weather Factory/Castle, and the knowledge of inborn Magic in other creatures besides Unicorns(to which she learned through her Zebra heritage)- StormShadow was able to help Flash hone her inborn Magic, and eventually utilize it to create the Thunderheads that she needed for large thunder and lightning storms. Through helping Flash learn to use her inborn Magic, the two of them became closer and have learned to trust one another deeply.

Storm isn't the type of pony you wanna fight with, and is one of the highest ranking agents in the town- level with only two other ponies, one of which is Pinkie Pie, who works for H.O.O.F. as PonyVille's Region Controller.

StormShadow is a very serious individual who always keeps a straight face and a level head when dealing with stressful situations, you'll never see her smile- she hasn't since she was a filly. Stormshadow is also a splendid tactician, she is able to draw up plans of action with skill and precision in order to reach a goal, and executes each and every plan with calm and professionalism. She has a habit of distancing herself from others and doesn't tend to speak much when in the company of other ponies- she hardly verntures into town, and prefers to stay within her residence within the Everfree.

Due to her living situation, and her half zebra lineage, she is quite good friends with Zecora, who lives not far from where she stays. The two often times are in one another's company, quietly discussing old stories or other things over tea, occasionally StormShadow helps prepare potions with the Zebra- though no one would accuse her of being very good at it. Zecora doesn't mind, she enjoys having somepony around who lived in the Zebra homeland- Zebrika- and who is well versed in Zebra culture.

StormShadow was born to her pegasus mother- Luminescent Mists- and her Zebra father- Chinwe- in the confines of a town within Zebrika, where she and her mother were the only two who were not full-blooded Zebras. The older zebras within their home were welcome and caring toward StormShadow when she was a filly- but most of the younger zebras in school and around her liked to tease and bully her for her lineage (as young, foolish children do, with little reason). As young as she was, StormShadow was hit by all the bullying rather hard and became shy and a recluse when she was a filly, and eventually stopped smiling altogether, as well as becoming more serious and rigid. She's remained that way to this day, but she was never spiteful or angry, nor brash. She accepted that the other foals only teased her because people can sometimes be scared of things that are new to them- as a half breed certainly was. She developed a patient outlook on how other people react and think of others, and became accepting and can be considerably gentle when the time calls for it.

StormShadow has a younger sister who is also a hybrid, and who was born 4 years apart from herself. Her sister is Aurora Gale- a bumbly, friendly little mare with a huge heart, who unlike Storm- is always smiling. By the time Aurora joined in school, the idea of half-bloods was more accepted, but occasionally Aurora would get teased as Storm once did. To this, StormShadow is quite the protective big sister, and easily scares off potential bullies before their words can really affect her little sis.

Her younger sister wishes Storm was more cheerful and less stony, but she knows well Storm has a good heart, and does her best to keep them close. Storm loves her little sister with all her heart, and would do anything for her.
